Ghana’s First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, has urged world leaders to unite in safeguarding children’s rights and well-being, as she joined global dignitaries at the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
Speaking during a special prayer service dedicated to peace and children, Mrs. Mahama stressed the urgency of collective action in addressing the rising challenges confronting children globally.

“Through prayer and decisive leadership, we can create a world where every child is protected and empowered to achieve their full potential,” she said.
She also offered a heartfelt prayer for needy and orphaned children, asking for divine provision, guidance, and opportunities to help them live fulfilling lives.

Mrs. Mahama’s call comes at a time of increasing global instability, positioning child protection and empowerment as central issues for the international community.
