A fire swept through the boys’ dormitory of Leklebi Senior High School on Sunday, July 26, forcing students to scramble for safety as they rushed to salvage their personal belongings.
Videos circulating on social media showed male students throwing mattresses, bags and other valuables through windows while thick smoke billowed from the affected dormitory block. The incident triggered panic on campus as the blaze spread through parts of the building.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service responded promptly and managed to bring the fire under control, preventing the flames from extending to other structures within the school.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established, and there have been no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities. School authorities and fire investigators are expected to assess the extent of the damage and determine what sparked the incident.
