The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor, has held discussions with technology giant Huawei as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration in the modernisation of Ghana’s energy sector.
The meeting formed part of the Minister’s working visit, during which he engaged Huawei’s management team on potential areas of partnership aimed at advancing the country’s energy transformation agenda.
Dr. Jinapor also toured Huawei’s state-of-the-art facilities to gain first-hand insight into the company’s technological innovations and capabilities in the energy and power sectors.
The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration that could support Ghana’s efforts to modernise its energy infrastructure and promote sustainable energy development.
The Minister underscored the importance of partnering with leading global technology and power sector companies to drive innovation and improve efficiency within Ghana’s energy sector.
He noted that strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Huawei remain essential as the government pursues its agenda of modernising the country’s energy systems and accelerating the transition to a more resilient and sustainable energy future.
