Ghana’s inflation for March 2026 has declined to 3.2%, making it the 15th consecutive monthly drop in the rate of price increases.
This was announced by the Ghana Statistical Service, which noted that the latest figure represents a slight fall from the 3.3% recorded in February and a sharp decrease from 22.4% in March 2025.
The sustained decline highlights a significant easing in inflationary pressures and points to improving macroeconomic conditions.
On a monthly basis, however, prices rose marginally by 0.1% between February and March.
Food inflation eased to 2.3%, with a decline in prices over the month, while non-food inflation also dipped to 3.9%, despite a slight month-on-month increase.
The drop in the overall rate was largely driven by a slowdown in goods inflation, which recorded a notable monthly fall and continues to weigh heavily on the headline figure.
