The family of the late Nana Ama Amissah III, Paramount Queen Mother of the Mankessim Traditional Area and a member of the Governing Board of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), has formally announced the date for her 40-day commemoration.
The announcement was made when the bereaved family visited the Board and Management of GoldBod following the passing of the Queen Mother.
According to the family, the 40-day commemoration of the late Nana Ama Amissah III will be held on September 12, 2026.
Receiving the family, the Board Chairman of GoldBod, Mr Kojo Fynn, expressed the organisation’s heartfelt condolences and paid tribute to the late Queen Mother.
He described Nana Ama Amissah III as a kind, dedicated and remarkable woman whose service and contributions to GoldBod were deeply valued.
The Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi, also expressed his sympathies to the bereaved family, describing her death as a profound loss to both GoldBod and the nation.
He assured the family of the organisation’s support as they go through the difficult period of mourning.
Nana Ama Amissah III served as Paramount Queen Mother of the Mankessim Traditional Area and was a member of the Governing Board of GoldBod, where her contributions were recognised by the Board and Management.
GoldBod extended its condolences to the family and prayed for strength and comfort for them as they prepare for the 40-day commemoration.
