Fire personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded swiftly to a domestic blaze at Agape Top in Ablekuma, bringing the situation under control before it could spread.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, April 7, drew a rapid response from the Amasaman Fire Station after the alarm was raised. On arrival, firefighters met the fire already raging within the residential property and immediately moved in to contain it.
Their prompt action prevented the flames from extending to nearby buildings, averting what could have been a larger disaster in the densely populated area.
Preliminary assessments indicate that parts of a four-bedroom house were affected, with several household items destroyed. However, firefighters managed to salvage significant portions of the structure, reducing the overall damage.
Fortunately, no casualties were recorded.
Authorities have since begun investigations to establish the cause of the fire and to strengthen preventive measures against similar incidents in the future.
