The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) has organised a financial literacy training programme for its staff as part of activities marking its maiden Welfare Month celebration, scheduled from August 1 to 30, 2026.

The training, organised by the Authority’s Welfare Committee on Tuesday, August 4, was aimed at equipping employees with the knowledge and skills required to make informed financial decisions and achieve long-term financial security.

Financial experts from Enterprise Life, Axis Pension, Devnest, Prudential Life, and Prudential Bank led the sessions, providing insights into key areas including investment opportunities, pension planning, savings, insurance, wealth creation and effective personal financial management.

Participants were taken through practical approaches to managing personal finances, preparing for retirement, protecting assets and building sustainable wealth.

The interactive programme also allowed staff to engage directly with the resource persons, ask questions about various financial products and services, and receive guidance tailored to their individual financial goals.

The GFZA said the initiative forms part of its commitment to promoting employee wellbeing by empowering staff with practical financial knowledge that enhances financial resilience and responsible decision-making.

The Authority added that the programme reflects its broader objective of supporting the professional development and overall welfare of its workforce.
