The Ghana Education Service (GES) has cautioned teacher applicants against paying money to individuals claiming they can facilitate their recruitment into the Service, stressing that the entire recruitment process is free of charge.
In a statement dated Tuesday, July 28, 2026, GES urged applicants to disregard calls or messages from fraudsters posing as officials of the Service and demanding payment in exchange for employment. It also advised anyone who encounters such attempts to report them to the police.
The caution comes as GES announced that regional postings for successful applicants have been uploaded to the recruitment portal.
Successful candidates are expected to log into the portal using their recruitment vouchers to access their posting details at no cost.
According to GES, successful applicants are required to report to their respective Regional Education Offices from August 7, 2026, to begin the onboarding process.
Reaffirming that applicants are not required to make any payment to secure employment, the Service stated, “Securing recruitment into the service is, and remains, free.”
GES also expressed gratitude to applicants for their cooperation throughout the recruitment exercise.
