All applicants who failed during the Ghana Armed Forces recruitment medical screening have been given a second opportunity to undergo reassessment.
In a Facebook post, the Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, stated that affected candidates are expected to return to the various medical centres where they were initially examined to confirm the specific reasons for their disqualification.
“Relative to the Ghana Armed Forces recruitment for 2025/2026, all potential recruits who failed the medical assessment are reminded to check for the reason(s) from the medical center where they were assessed,” he stated.
He further indicated that applicants whose conditions are treatable should seek medical care, as arrangements are being made for them to be invited back for a review.
“In addition, all those who had curable medical issues at that stage are encouraged to seek medical attention as they would be invited again for a review,” he added.
The Deputy Minister also assured that the upcoming medical review will be conducted free of charge.
“The medical review will come at no cost to the applicants,” the statement noted.
The move follows an intervention by President John Dramani Mahama to increase recruitment intake, a decision expected to create room for more applicants to be reconsidered in the ongoing process.
