The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) has received a corporate sponsorship worth GHS1,068,455 from 3TREES Ghana Painting Limited to undertake the complete exterior painting and renovation of its national headquarters.
The intervention, which forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme under the Brighten Ghana Initiative, will be executed at no cost to government.
The project will cover painting materials, labour, equipment, scaffolding and other associated works required to give the Ministry’s headquarters a facelift.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Minister for Food and Agriculture said the initiative reflects the importance of collaboration between government and the private sector in advancing national development.
He reiterated that agriculture remains central to Ghana’s economic transformation agenda under President John Dramani Mahama’s Agriculture for Economic Transformation Agenda, aimed at improving livelihoods, creating jobs and strengthening food security.
“Agriculture is the backbone of our economy. President John Dramani Mahama has made agriculture a central pillar of Ghana’s economic transformation,” the Minister said.
He also called on individuals, companies and development partners to support the upcoming 42nd National Farmers’ Day celebration, scheduled for Friday, December 4, 2026, describing it as an opportunity to recognise the contribution of farmers to national development.
The Minister praised 3TREES Ghana Painting Limited for becoming one of the first major corporate partners to support the Brighten Ghana Initiative, describing the gesture as a demonstration of commitment to improving public institutions.
He said the initiative is designed to bring together government, businesses and development partners to rehabilitate public infrastructure, create cleaner environments and improve service delivery.
“Today, they are here to paint the national headquarters of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture—the home of every farmer in Ghana.
They are undertaking this project entirely free of charge,” he stated.
The Minister encouraged other corporate organisations to emulate 3TREES Ghana by supporting public institutions and contributing to national development efforts.
He also acknowledged the involvement of UMB Bank in the initiative, stressing that sustainable development requires strong partnerships between government and the private sector.
The Ministry said it remains committed to working with strategic partners to promote agricultural transformation, institutional renewal and improved public service delivery.
