Olam Agri Ghana has donated GH¢100,000 to support preparations for the 42nd National Farmers’ Day celebration scheduled for December 4, 2026, in Sunyani, Bono Region.
The contribution, presented to the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku is intended to support mobilisation efforts towards the national celebration, which honours the contributions of farmers to Ghana’s economy and food security.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Ministry and the National Farmers’ Day organising committee, the sector Minister welcomed the support and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of farmers and reducing poverty in farming communities.
The Minister also reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s food security and advancing agricultural development.
The 42nd National Farmers’ Day celebration will be held under the theme: “Our Farmers, Our Food, Our Future.”
