Managing Director of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Edmund Kombat, has delivered the keynote address at the inaugural Leadership Lab Yetu Intergenerational Leadership Accelerator, a pan-African leadership initiative founded and chaired by former First Lady of Namibia, H.E. Monica Geingos.
The programme brought together a select group of emerging African public leaders to discuss the future of governance, leadership and public service across the continent.
Addressing participants, Mr. Kombat reflected on the importance of values-driven leadership, ethical public service and the responsibility of Africa’s current generation of leaders to build resilient institutions that create opportunities, inspire public confidence and deliver sustainable development.
He stressed that strong institutions and principled leadership are essential to driving Africa’s transformation and improving the lives of its citizens.
Mr. Kombat also commended the organisers of Leadership Lab Yetu for creating a platform that promotes intergenerational dialogue, knowledge sharing and leadership development among emerging public sector leaders.
He expressed appreciation to the Leadership Lab Yetu team for the invitation, describing the initiative as an important investment in the continent’s future.
The TOR Managing Director noted that Africa’s long-term progress will depend on the quality of leaders being nurtured today, urging participants to embrace integrity, innovation and service as they prepare to lead the continent into the future.
