The Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) on Monday, October 26, 2026, hosted a delegation from the Rotary Club of Accra, Ghana’s first Rotary Club, for a familiarisation tour aimed at providing members with first-hand insight into the refinery’s operations and strategic role in the country’s energy sector.

The delegation was led by the Rotary District Governor, Dr. Jack Andrews Dotsey, and was received by TOR’s Managing Director, Mr. Edmond Kombat, together with members of the refinery’s senior management team.

During the visit, TOR management briefed the delegation on the refinery’s operations, its importance to Ghana’s energy security and plans for future development.

The tour also provided members of the Rotary Club with an opportunity to learn about crude oil refining, interact with the refinery’s technical team and gain a better understanding of TOR’s contribution to Ghana’s industrial and energy landscape.

The Managing Director of the refinery, Edmund Kombat expressed appreciation to the Rotary Club of Accra for the visit and the interest shown in understanding its operations and ongoing development efforts.

The MD said the engagement comes as TOR continues to position itself around its stated priorities of restoring operations, rebuilding public confidence and contributing to Ghana’s energy security.
