Deputy Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, has been discharged from hospital after receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a road accident on the Bolgatanga–Tumu highway in the Upper East Region.
In a statement dated February 17, 2026, the Ministry said Sukparu is “recuperating well” and is expected to resume official duties soon.
“The Ministry appreciates the numerous messages of goodwill and concern from the public, media, and well-wishers,” the statement added.
Sukparu was involved in the accident while travelling in a convoy with Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu on official government business. Sources say both ministers sustained minor injuries and remained stable under medical supervision.
Emergency responders were deployed to the scene shortly after the crash. Authorities have since opened investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The Ministry urged the public to rely on its official platforms for updates on the Deputy Minister’s schedule and activities.
