The Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce in Changsha on June 13, organised a high-level foreign-trade matchmaking meeting which attracted over 10,000 businesses and people globally.
The event, part of the fourth “China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo” was a strategic area of engagement towards the reinvigoration, diversification and deepening of China-Africa economic relations through trade exchange promotion between entrepreneurs from both regions.

With the support of Hunan GBA Economic & Trade Exchange Promotion Association as well as Sand-Stone Product Association, senior government officials and business leaders were present to nurture relationships while driving interest towards pre-scheduled meetings for direct trade facilitation and export promotion.
Speaking on the Ghana Free Zones Programme, Dr. Mary Awusi stated that under the programme international investors may benefit from numerous investment incentives which are very competitive.

She extended a formal invitation to Chinese businesses desirous of exploring the vast investment and export oriented manufacturing opportunities in Ghana.
Meanwhile the Deputy Director General of Hunan’s Commerce Department, Deng Weiping has stated that China will continue to broaden trade improvement with Africa.

He noted that trade policy in China was also now favours free duty from countries including Ghana and anticipated the import tariff on goods will enhance exports in for companies utilising its Free Zones.
