President John Dramani Mahama today, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, formally received the Bawku Mediation Report at Jubilee House, marking a pivotal step in efforts to resolve the long-standing conflict in the Bawku traditional area.
The report is the outcome of an extensive mediation process led by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, whose leadership has been instrumental in fostering dialogue, easing tensions, and promoting reconciliation in Bawku and surrounding communities.
The ceremony drew a wide array of stakeholders, including senior government officials, traditional leaders, members of the mediation team, as well as representatives from religious bodies, peace institutions, and development partners, highlighting a collective national commitment to restoring peace and stability.
The report is expected to provide detailed recommendations aimed at achieving lasting harmony and sustainable development in the Bawku area.
