Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has announced a renewed national security strategy aimed at restoring lasting peace in Bawku and other conflict-affected areas across Ghana.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, July 29, Dr. Boamah disclosed that the government is taking bold steps to retool the Ghana Armed Forces with modern equipment and logistics to enhance internal security operations.
“We’re taking additional significant steps to re-tool the Ghana Armed Forces, ensuring internal peace and security everywhere and safeguarding our territories,” he wrote.
The Minister assured that the ongoing tensions in Bawku will soon be resolved, adding that the Mahama administration remains focused on building a stable and secure nation under its Reset Ghana vision.
“The Mahama Government is committed to #ResetGhana, and we’re working tirelessly to make it happen. Lasting peace shall surely return to Bawku and all affected areas,” Dr. Boamah emphasized.
He called for national unity and collective effort toward building a safer Ghana, stressing, “Let’s collaborate and build a safer, stronger Ghana together.”
