The Acting Minister for Defence and Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, has unveiled the newly constructed Butler Barracks and offices Complex at Burma Camp in Accra.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, marked the completion of the modern facility aimed at improving accommodation and administrative capacity within the Ghana Armed Forces.
The project forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance military infrastructure and provide improved working conditions for personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Forson highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening the operational effectiveness of the Armed Forces through investments in critical infrastructure, logistics and welfare support for military personnel.
The newly opened Butler Barracks and offices complex is expected to contribute to improved efficiency in military administration and support the Ghana Armed Forces in carrying out their constitutional mandate.
The ceremony was attended by senior military officers, government officials and other stakeholders within the defence sector.
