Celebrated Ghanaian actor and television host Akwasi Boadi, popularly known as Akrobeto, is safe and recovering after being involved in a road accident on the morning of Friday, May 24, 2025.
The incident occurred near Konongo, a town along the Accra–Kumasi highway, while the veteran comedian was en route to Kumasi.
Eyewitnesses report that Akrobeto’s vehicle collided with a heavy-duty truck, though the exact circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
He was reportedly driving alone at the time of the collision. Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene, and no serious injuries or fatalities were recorded.
Photos and videos circulating on social media show the front end of Akrobeto’s vehicle severely damaged, suggesting a significant impact.
However, the actor has since confirmed he is doing well, and fans have flooded social media with messages of relief and support.
The police have yet to issue an official statement on the cause of the accident.
