The Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB) held its annual interdenominational Thanksgiving Service at its Head Office in Accra, bringing together management, staff, and invited clergy to express gratitude for a successful 2025 and seek divine guidance for 2026.
The Christian Thanksgiving Service took place in the morning on the 4th Floor of the ADB Head Office, with an atmosphere of praise, worship, and reflection.
Bishop James Saah officiated the service, urging staff to remain grateful, resilient, and purposeful in their duties.

In the afternoon, management joined congregants at the Police Mosque in Cantonments for prayers covering the Bank’s leadership, staff, customers, shareholders, and all other stakeholders, seeking sustained peace and success.
In his remarks, ADB Managing Director Edward Ato Sarpong said the thanksgiving reflected gratitude for the Bank’s progress over 2025.

“I have been with the Bank for a year now as the Managing Director, and I can say that good Lord has been merciful to us over the year. We have been able to overcome challenges, and ADB is now on the path of growth and prosperity,” he said.
“Our performance for the period reflects ADB’s deliberate efforts over the past nine months to stabilize our operations, strengthen our balance sheet, enhance profitability, and deliver long-term value to our diverse stakeholders while continuing to support key sectors of the economy, particularly agriculture. We are on course, on our three-and-a-half-year strategy, to deliver sustainable value and growth for everyone,” Mr. Sarpong added.
He further emphasized the role of staff in the Bank’s turnaround.

“This success could not have happened without the unwavering support and commitment of staff, and I wish to express our profound gratitude to them for their respective contributions in moving the Bank forward. I believe that together we will achieve greater heights,” he said.
The Thanksgiving Services also provided an opportunity for staff and management to reflect on the Bank’s progress and recommit to ADB’s strategic course.
Financially, ADB posted strong results in the third quarter of 2025, with profit before tax reaching GH¢447.49 million, a 153.66% increase from GH¢176.41 million in the same period in 2024. The Bank maintained robust liquidity with a liquid ratio of 130%, well above the regulatory threshold.

Total assets grew by 17%, rising from GH¢13.87 billion in September 2024 to GH¢16.22 billion in September 2025, driven by growth in investment securities and deposits. Net investment securities increased to GH¢6.45 billion from GH¢4.71 billion during the same period last year.
“All other performance indicators also witnessed a significant upward trend in the third quarter of 2025,” the Bank noted. In line with regulatory requirements, ADB will publish its 2025 year-end financial statements within the first quarter of this year.

The Bank remains committed to its strategic vision of becoming one of the top three banks in Ghana, globally admired for its people, processes, and performance.
