Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is reportedly close to completing a move to newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town, with a medical scheduled later this week.
According to reports, Ipswich Town have reached an agreement with Leicester City on a transfer fee believed to be around £20 million, with the deal now subject to the winger successfully completing his medical.
The 22-year-old is expected to strengthen the squad as Ipswich prepare for their return to the Premier League following a 22-year absence from England’s top flight.
Transfer expert Ben Jacobs reports that the move is nearing completion, with the medical the final major step before the transfer is finalized.
Issahaku impressed during the 2025/26 season despite Leicester City’s disappointing campaign, which ended in relegation.
The Ghanaian winger was one of the club’s standout performers, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.
His performances at club level also earned him a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he featured in four matches for the Black Stars.
A move to Ipswich Town would see Issahaku return to the Premier League and provide him with an opportunity to build on the momentum from his recent performances for both club and country.
