President John Dramani Mahama is set to formally receive the Bawku Mediation Report on Tuesday December 16, 2025, at the Jubilee House, marking a critical step in efforts to resolve the protracted conflict in Bawku.
The report is the product of an extended mediation process chaired by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, whose leadership has been central to national attempts to calm tensions and promote reconciliation in Bawku and nearby communities.
The event will draw a broad cross-section of stakeholders, including senior government officials, traditional leaders, members of the mediation team, and representatives of religious bodies, peace institutions and development partners, reflecting a unified national commitment to restoring harmony in the troubled area.
The report is expected to outline recommendations aimed at bringing lasting stability to the Bawku traditional area.
