National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has assured supporters that the Mahama administration will pursue justice for all forms of electoral violence.
Addressing party members in Nsawam Adoagyiri during his thank-you tour, he pointed to the recent conviction of eight NDC supporters who assaulted former Fisheries Minister Hawa Koomson during the Ablekuma North rerun-election as proof of government’s commitment to accountability.
“If a slap on someone during the Ablekuma North election has landed the perpetrators in court, then those who shot and killed people or injured others must wait for their turn,” he warned, hinting that individuals behind the Nsawam shooting incident will also face the law.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia also accused Nsawam Adoagyiri MP, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, of using foul means to retain his seat but pledged that he would be unseated in the 2028 polls.
He further stressed that the NDC’s reset agenda, including cleansing and depoliticizing state institutions, remains on course, urging supporters to remain patient and united behind President Mahama.
