The Presidency Communications Office is set to roll out a new initiative, the ‘Government Accountability Series’, beginning Monday, July 14, 2025, as part of efforts to foster greater transparency, public engagement, and performance reporting in governance.
Announced by Presidential Spokesperson and Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, the series will offer a structured platform for key ministers to deliver Mid-Year performance updates on their respective sectors.
Sessions will be held three times weekly—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—at 11:00 a.m.
The first briefing in the series will be delivered by Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak.
He is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of developments within the country’s security and interior sectors over the past six months.
According to the Presidency, the initiative aims to enhance openness in governance by giving citizens direct access to government performance reviews and policy implementation updates.
The Government Accountability Series is anticipated to become a regular feature in the Presidency’s public communications, serving as a direct feedback loop between citizens and the state.
It will highlight successes, identify challenges, and outline next steps across sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, security, and the economy.
Officials say the platform is also expected to strengthen public trust by enabling real-time scrutiny and dialogue around key national issues.
