The Management of Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced that water supply to parts of North-Eastern Accra will be interrupted on Friday, July 4, 2025, to allow for emergency repair works at the Kpong Treatment Plant.
The planned shutdown, according to GWL in a statement dated Thursday, July 3, will take place from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The affected areas include Dodowa, Oyarifa, Madina, Adenta, Ashaley Botwe, East Legon, Abokobi, Haatso, Agbogba, Ashongman, and surrounding communities.
GWL has advised residents in these areas to store enough water ahead of the shutdown to avoid inconvenience.
Management further assured the public that water supply will be restored as soon as the repair works are completed.

GWL expressed regret for the inconvenience and assured customers that the repair works are necessary to maintain reliable water supply to the affected communities.
