A 13-year old boy is allegedly killed by unknown assailants at Akyem Osiem in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region .
The victim, identified as Richmond K. Antony, popularly known as “Paa,” was reportedly attacked on the evening of Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
According to the boy’s father, Richmond had went out around 7:00 p.m. to buy food but returned home minutes later with multiple cutlass wounds on his body, crying out in pain.
He was quickly rushed to the Hawa Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The incident was immediately reported to the Akyem New Tafo Police Command, who have since launched investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder.
Police are yet to make any arrests but have assured residents of intensified efforts to track down the perpetrator.
Authorities have also appealed to the public to remain calm and volunteer any information that may assist in the investigation.
Akyem Osiem has been on police radar for sometime. Few months ago, Ghana Police conducted special operations in the community and rounded up dozens of suspects who were put before Koforidua Circuit court.
