The National Women’s Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hannah Bissiw-Kotey, has announced her decision not to seek re-election in the party’s upcoming National Women’s Organizer election.
Mrs Bissiw-Kotey disclosed her decision during a meeting with women organizers from the Ashanti Region at the Ashanti Regional NDC Office.
The meeting was held as a moment of appreciation and reflection on her eight-year journey of organising and leading the NDC Women’s Wing.
According to Mrs Bissiw-Kotey, the gathering provided an opportunity to express her gratitude to the women organizers for their unwavering support, dedication and commitment throughout her tenure.
The engagement was marked by reflections on the experiences and challenges encountered during the past eight years, as well as memories from their work together to strengthen the party’s Women’s Wing.
Mrs Bissiw-Kotey officially informed the regional women organizers of her decision not to contest the forthcoming National Women’s Organizer election.
She also wished all aspirants success as the party prepares for its upcoming constituency-level elections.
The outgoing National Women’s Organizer expressed deep appreciation to the women organizers for their support and commitment throughout what she described as a remarkable journey of service to the NDC.
