Panic reportedly broke out at the Makola market in the Accra metropolis after an unidentified man allegedly wielding a cutlass caused traders to flee their stalls for fear of their safety.
The man reportedly moved through parts of the market, frightening traders and customers and forcing several sellers to abandon their goods and seek safety.
During the incident, he allegedly took some traders’ goods and scattered several items belonging to sellers in the area.
The sudden disturbance created confusion among traders as they hurried away from the scene to avoid confrontation with the man.
