Scores of the suupporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kwadaso Constituency of the Ashanti Region have demonstrated against the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Eric Asibey, calling for the revocation of his appointment.
The protesters accused the MCE of failing to effectively engage and work with the party’s grassroots in the municipality.
They also raised concerns over the distribution of birds under the government’s Nkoko Nkitinkiti initiative, citing issues with the manner in which the programme has been handled.
The demonstrators are demanding action from the relevant authorities, including the removal of Mr. Asibey from office.
The protest adds to concerns being raised by some NDC supporters in the constituency over the administration of the municipality and the relationship between the MCE and the party’s grassroots structures.
