The Ministry of Education has postponed the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results from Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4, 2026.
The Ministry said the decision follows requests from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for additional time to complete the submission and uploading of students’ data onto the platforms of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and CSSPS.
According to the Ministry, about 20,000 qualified students have not yet had their school choices uploaded onto the CSSPS platform by their Heads of Schools, parents or guardians.
The extension is intended to ensure that the outstanding submissions do not prevent affected students from participating in the placement process for Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
The Ministry said the additional time would allow all qualified students to complete the required processes and ensure their information is captured for placement.
It has therefore urged parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools to use the extension to submit all outstanding information within the new deadline.
“The Ministry remains committed to a fair, transparent, efficient, and orderly placement process that gives every qualified student a meaningful opportunity to secure placement in a Senior High School or TVET institution,” it said.
