Ghana international defender Kojo Oppong Peprah is closing in on a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, with the club reportedly reaching an agreement with French side OGC Nice for his transfer.
The 22-year-old centre-back is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Turkish Süper Lig club once the transfer is completed. Reports indicate the deal is worth more than €10 million, although the transfer is yet to be officially confirmed by the clubs.
Oppong Peprah joined Nice from Swedish club IFK Norrköping last summer and enjoyed an impressive first season in France. He made 39 appearances across all competitions and scored once, establishing himself as an important part of the squad.
The proposed move would represent another major step in the rapid rise of the Ghanaian defender, who has attracted interest from other clubs, including fellow French side Strasbourg, during the transfer window.
Oppong Peprah also made his mark on the international stage after earning a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
He featured for the Black Stars against England and Croatia during the tournament before missing Ghana’s knockout-stage clash with Colombia through injury.
A move to Fenerbahçe would see the young defender continue his career at one of Turkey’s biggest clubs and add another major chapter to his rapid rise from Swedish football to the top level of European competition.
The transfer remains subject to the completion of the final formalities and the signing of the reported four-year deal.
