Ghanaian music legend Kojo Antwi, popularly known as “Mr Music Man,” has paid a courtesy visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The visit took place during the Awukudae Festival, providing an opportunity for the celebrated musician to interact with the Asantehene and pay his respects.
During the visit, Kojo Antwi presented a copy of his memoir, Mr Music Man, to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The memoir chronicles aspects of the musician’s life, career and journey in Ghana’s music industry, where he has earned recognition as one of the country’s most influential and enduring musical figures.
The presentation of the book to the Asantehene formed part of the engagement between the music icon and the traditional authority during the Awukudae celebrations.
Kojo Antwi’s visit also highlighted the connection between Ghana’s cultural heritage, traditional institutions and the country’s creative arts industry.
