The Ghana Police Service has commenced a manhunt for a man captured in a viral video allegedly assaulting a suspect.
The Police Service has strongly condemned the incident and said efforts have been intensified to identify, arrest and prosecute the individual involved.
In a statement, the Service said the circumstances surrounding the incident are also being investigated to establish the full facts of the case.
It stressed that all persons found to have played a role in the incident would be subjected to due process in accordance with the law.
The Police Service assured the public that it remains committed to upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights of persons in custody or under investigation.
The development follows the circulation of the video on social media, which has sparked concerns over the treatment of suspects and the conduct of persons involved in law enforcement activities.
