The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced the opening of applications for a new training programme leading to the award of the Customs Proficiency Certificate.
In a public notice issued by the Customs Division, the Commissioner-General said the programme is intended to enhance professional competence within Ghana’s customs clearing industry.
According to the GRA, prospective applicants must be Ghanaian citizens aged 21 years or above, possess at least a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent, and have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the customs clearing industry.
Interested applicants are required to purchase an application voucher for GHS200 from the Cashier’s Office at the Accounts Block of the Customs Division Headquarters on Liberia Road in Accra.
The voucher will provide access to the online application portal.
The Authority has set July 17, 2026, as the deadline for the submission of applications.
Successful applicants will be required to pay a course registration fee of GHS3,500 before commencing the programme.
The GRA said the training will be delivered through a combination of in-person and virtual sessions.
Locations for the physical sessions will be determined based on the number of qualified applicants, with confirmed training centres to be communicated to successful candidates at a later date.
