The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly, Seth Banini, has undertaken an inspection tour of ongoing road rehabilitation works on the Kasoa Krispol stretch as part of efforts to improve road infrastructure and enhance mobility within the municipality.
The monitoring exercise was conducted alongside municipal roads engineers, planning officers and other key stakeholders to assess progress on the project and ensure that work is proceeding according to schedule.
Speaking during the inspection, the MCE said the rehabilitation works form part of the Assembly’s broader commitment to improving the condition of existing road networks and addressing the transportation challenges facing residents and commuters.
According to him, the rapid growth and expansion of Kasoa continue to place significant pressure on existing infrastructure, making regular maintenance and the construction of new roads essential to meeting the needs of the municipality’s growing population.
He noted that improving road infrastructure remains a priority for the Assembly as it seeks to facilitate the efficient movement of people, goods and services across the municipality.
The MCE further emphasized that the Assembly, with the support of the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Hon. Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, is committed to mobilizing the resources required to undertake critical infrastructure projects.
He expressed optimism that ongoing and future road interventions would help reduce traffic congestion, improve accessibility and contribute to socio-economic development within the municipality.
The road rehabilitation project forms part of a wider strategy by the Assembly to upgrade infrastructure and improve the quality of life for residents in Kasoa and surrounding communities.
