The Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) has congratulated former Ghana Bar Association (GBA) President, Tony Forson, following his nomination to serve as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana.

In a statement celebrating the nomination, the Association described Mr. Forson, a member of the Mfantsipim School Class of 1982, as one of the school’s distinguished legal professionals whose elevation reflects a career marked by integrity, legal excellence and dedicated public service.

MOBA noted that Mr. Forson’s nomination to the country’s highest court is recognition of his decades of contribution to Ghana’s legal system and his commitment to upholding the rule of law.

The Association also highlighted his tenure as President of the Ghana Bar Association, during which it said he provided strong leadership for the legal profession and championed the independence of the Bar and the administration of justice.

According to the statement, Mr. Forson has earned a reputation throughout his legal career for his commitment to fairness, ethical practice and the pursuit of justice, qualities the Association believes will serve him well if approved to serve on the Supreme Court.

MOBA further expressed confidence that his nomination continues Mfantsipim School’s longstanding tradition of producing eminent jurists and legal practitioners who have contributed significantly to Ghana’s judiciary.

The Association, led by its national leadership and supported by Old Boys across the world, pledged its support and best wishes to Mr. Forson as he prepares for the next stage of the judicial appointment process.

It also expressed the hope that his service on the Supreme Court would be guided by wisdom, fairness and the values of integrity and excellence Associated with the Mfantsipim School tradition.
