President John Dramani Mahama has held bilateral talks with the President of Suriname, Dr Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the two leaders to discuss areas of mutual interest and explore avenues for deepening cooperation between Ghana and Suriname.
President Mahama and President Geerlings-Simons also reaffirmed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The engagement forms part of President Mahama’s diplomatic activities during the 81st UN General Assembly, where world leaders are meeting to deliberate on global and regional issues.
