The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) in collaboration with the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC), has organised the Ashanti Arts and Enterprise Summit aimed at bridging creativity with entrepreneurship among students in the region.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of NEIP, Eric Adjei, said the initiative was inspired by a promise made earlier in March after viewing creative artworks produced by talented students, which he said demonstrated significant entrepreneurial potential.

He explained that the summit was designed to provide a platform where creativity could be transformed into viable business opportunities, contributing to youth empowerment and economic development.

The CEO expressed appreciation to the Ashanti Regional Minister, Frank Amoakohene for the partnership, as well as traditional leaders and other dignitaries whose participation contributed to the success of the programme.

As part of the initiative, participating schools received cash support of GHS5,000 each to help nurture their talents and support the commercialisation of their creative works.

He noted that the intervention aligns with NEIP’s broader Students Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (SEED) Programme, which seeks to promote entrepreneurship from the foundational level of education.

He urged students to apply the knowledge gained at the summit to innovate and build sustainable enterprises that can contribute to Ghana’s economic transformation.

According to him, empowering young people with practical entrepreneurial skills remains central to building a strong and inclusive business ecosystem that supports national development.
