Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, has engaged regional and constituency executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region as part of his campaign for the position of First National Vice Chairman.
Dr Abdul-Hamid said the engagements provided an opportunity for him to share his vision for the party while listening to concerns from the grassroots and discussing ways to strengthen the party’s structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He engaged executives from Bawku Central, Zebilla, Binduri, Bolgatanga East, Bolgatanga Central, Bongo, Builsa North, Builsa South, Garu, Navrongo Central, Chiana-Paga, Nabdam, Pusiga, Talensi and Tempane constituencies.
According to him, the reception from the executives was encouraging and demonstrated their commitment to the party and its organisational structures.
Dr Abdul-Hamid said the interactions had also helped him better understand the concerns of party members at the grassroots and identify areas where the NPP needed to improve.
He stressed the need for stronger party structures, greater unity and renewed engagement with the grassroots as the party prepares for the 2028 elections.
He thanked the regional and constituency executives for their warm reception and the coordination of the engagements.
