The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Jinapor, has held bilateral meetings with key industry players and prospective investors as part of efforts to strengthen investment in Ghana’s energy sector.
The engagements took place on the sidelines of African Energy Week last week and involved companies with established operations in Ghana, as well as potential investors seeking opportunities to enter the country’s energy market.
According to the minister, the companies commended Ghana for what they described as a remarkable economic turnaround achieved within a year.
They also praised the government’s efforts to reposition the energy sector as an attractive destination for investment.
The companies further reaffirmed Ghana’s reputation as a country ready for business, highlighting the importance of continued efforts to create a favourable environment for investors.
Dr Jinapor said the government remained committed to building a credible, competitive and investor-friendly energy sector anchored on certainty, predictability and transparency.
He noted that these principles were essential to strengthening investor confidence, fostering long-term partnerships and creating the conditions necessary for sustainable investment and growth.
The bilateral engagements form part of broader efforts to deepen collaboration with industry stakeholders and explore opportunities capable of supporting the development of Ghana’s energy sector.
The government is seeking to position the sector to attract investment while building lasting partnerships that contribute to the country’s economic growth and energy transition ambitions.
