Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has decorated 22 senior police officers who have been promoted from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP)
The ceremony, which was attended by members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), formally recognised the promotions and marked the officers’ assumption of their new ranks.
The newly promoted DCOPs were decorated by the IGP in the presence of senior members of the Ghana Police Service.
The promotion was expected to place greater responsibility on the officers as they take on enhanced leadership roles within the Service.
Congratulating the 22 officers, the Ghana Police Service urged them to uphold professionalism, discipline and the values of the Service as they discharge their duties in their new capacities.
