MediQas Ghana Ltd. has donated medical equipment valued at GHS300,000 to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) to support efforts to improve access to specialist healthcare services across the country.
The donation was presented during a meeting between the Administrator of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, and a delegation from MediQas Ghana Limited, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Vishal Kaul.
The items donated included three ABL90 FLEX Blood Gas (4BG) analysers and 75 test cartridges, which are expected to enhance diagnostic capabilities and support the delivery of quality healthcare services to patients.
Receiving the equipment, Ms. Darko-Opoku expressed appreciation to MediQas Ghana Limited for partnering with the Trust Fund to strengthen specialist healthcare delivery in Ghana.
She described the donation as a significant contribution to the Trust Fund’s mission of improving access to life-saving medical care for Ghanaians, particularly patients requiring specialised treatment.
The Administrator noted that partnerships with the private sector remain crucial to expanding healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that more patients receive timely and quality medical services.
