Aspiring National Youth Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Okai Mintah, has paid a courtesy call on the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, as part of his engagements with key stakeholders ahead of the party’s internal elections.
During the meeting, Mr. Mintah formally informed the NDC General Secretary of his intention to contest the position of National Youth Organizer when nominations open and sought his blessings for the campaign.
According to Mr. Mintah, the meeting also focused on the need for a clean and issue-based campaign that promotes unity within the party.
He said Mr. Kwetey emphasised the importance of avoiding acrimony, personal attacks and mudslinging throughout the campaign.
Mr. Mintah assured the General Secretary that he and his campaign team would adhere to those principles and base their campaign on issues, ideas and the collective aspirations of the NDC’s youth wing.
He expressed appreciation to Mr. Kwetey for his time, counsel and guidance during the engagement.
The meeting forms part of Mr. Mintah’s ongoing consultations with party leaders, stakeholders and grassroots members as he prepares to contest the National Youth Organizer position.
