Accomplished entrepreneur and investment executive Dr. Maxwell Ampong has been enstooled as the inaugural Aboafuohene of the Traditional Council of Kona under the Dumankwa-Nifa Kyidom Division of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The traditional ceremony was performed by the Konahene of Kona, Nana Konadu Yiadom Kumanin IV, who formally installed Dr. Ampong as the first occupant of the newly created traditional leadership position.
The enstoolment marks a significant milestone for the Kona Traditional Council, with the creation of the Aboafuohene stool aimed at strengthening traditional leadership and supporting the development of the community.
Dr. Ampong, who is widely known for his contributions to entrepreneurship, investment and business development, is expected to work closely with the traditional authorities to promote the socio-economic advancement of Kona and its surrounding communities.
The ceremony was attended by traditional leaders, family members, dignitaries and well-wishers who gathered to witness the historic installation.
The Konahene expressed confidence in Dr. Ampong’s leadership, stating that his professional experience and commitment to development would contribute significantly to the growth and progress of the traditional area.
Dr. Ampong, in his acceptance remarks, expressed gratitude for the honour bestowed on him and pledged to serve with humility, dedication and integrity while working to advance the development agenda of the Kona Traditional Council.
