The Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Mr Anthony Kwesi Sarpong, has commended officers of the Customs Division for their steady improvement in revenue performance in recent months.
According to the Commissioner-General, the progress recorded by the Division reflects the commitment, coordination and hard work of Customs officers and leadership.
He urged Customs leaders to sustain the collaborative approach that has contributed to the improved performance and remain focused on achieving the Authority’s end-of-year revenue target.
The Commissioner-General also charged the leadership of the Customs Division to ensure that the gains being made are sustained through discipline, professionalism and ethical conduct.
The Commissioner made this remark when he call on leadership of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revnue Authority (GRA)
He stressed the need for strong revenue performance to go hand in hand with the protection of the integrity of the GRA and the strengthening of public confidence in the Authority.
The engagement ended with a call on Customs leadership to maintain high standards of conduct while building on the Division’s recent performance gains.
The Commissioner-General said sustained discipline and professionalism would be critical to ensuring that the Customs Division continues to contribute effectively to the GRA’s revenue mobilisation efforts.
