The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five of its officers for misconduct related to the unauthorized use of police uniforms on social media.
The personnel involved are G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale, G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere, G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo, G/Cpl. Charles Oduro, and PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor.
According to a statement from the Police Service, the officers’ actions violated professional conduct standards, and they have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau for further investigation and appropriate disciplinary action.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Richmond Mensah, signing on behalf of the Director-General of Public Affairs, emphasized the Service’s commitment to upholding integrity and accountability among its personnel.
The interdiction is part of ongoing efforts by the Ghana Police Service to maintain professionalism and discipline within the force.
