A businessman, whose name has been withheld for security reasons, has come forward with allegations of fraud against George Marfo, a well-known for buying auctioned goods at Tema Port.
The complainant claims that Mr. Marfo swindled him out of GHS 40,000 in 2022, under the guise of facilitating the purchase of auctioned containers from the port.
According to the businessman, Mr. Marfo took the money, promising to deliver several containers of auctioned goods. However, once the payment was made, Mr. Marfo neither provided the goods nor returned the funds. Despite numerous attempts to contact him, Mr. Marfo has remained evasive.
