The Volta Regional representative on the Council of State, Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, has announced his participation as a guest at the 2026 Annual Presiding Members Conference scheduled to take place in Ho from November 1 to 4, 2026.

The conference, which will bring together leaders, policymakers and representatives of local governance institutions, will be held under the theme: “Constitutional Reform and the Strategic Role of the Presiding Member in Ghana’s Development.”

The event is expected to provide a platform for discussions on the future of local governance, constitutional reform, institutional strengthening and the contribution of effective leadership to national development.

Mr. Kwamigah-Atokple expressed his enthusiasm about participating in the conference, describing it as an important opportunity for meaningful discussions, knowledge-sharing and the exchange of perspectives on strengthening Ghana’s institutions.

He emphasised that leadership requires continuous responsibility, while sustainable development depends on dialogue, collaboration and purposeful action.

His participation is expected to contribute to conversations on institutional development and the role of local governance leadership in advancing Ghana’s development agenda.

The four-day conference will be held in Ho, the Volta Regional capital.
