The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is set to unveil its Kwashieman Ultra Centre on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, as part of efforts to expand access to its services.
The ceremony, scheduled to take place at Kwashieman, will feature the authority’s Chief Executive, Julius Neequaye Kotey, Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Services, Foster Akwasi Asante, Esq, and Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Operations, Iddisah Yeboah Seidu.
The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Ewurabena Aubynn, is also listed on the event poster.
The development follows an earlier announcement by Mr.Kotey that Kwashieman was among the locations earmarked for additional DVLA offices as part of the authority’s nationwide expansion programme.
Speaking at the DVLA’s 2026 mid-year review conference in September, Mr.Kotey said the expansion was aimed at bringing services closer to the public. He reported that the authority had opened 29 new offices within 18 months, bringing its total number of offices to 62 at the time.
The authority’s expansion drive includes Ultra Centres established with private-sector participation. In October, the DVLA reported that its operational locations had increased from 33 to 63 following the opening of 30 new offices and service centres.
At the unveiling of the Dome Ultra Centre in July, Mr.Kotey said the facility was intended to improve access to services, reduce waiting times and ease congestion at existing offices. The initiative forms part of the authority’s broader effort to make its services more accessible to residents across the country.
