Aspiring National Youth Organizer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Okai Mintah, has reaffirmed his commitment to building a formidable party structure with the grassroot youth wing playing a leading role ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Mr. Mintah, in a statement posted on his Facebook page, reminded the rank and file of the party of their shared experiences and sacrifices, saying the NDC had travelled the political journey before and understood what could be achieved through unity.
“We have been here before,” Mr. Mintah said, stressing the importance of the party drawing strength from its collective experience as it prepares for the next general election.
According to him, party members had “walked this road before” and had been “in the trenches together,” giving him an understanding of their struggles and sacrifices.
“I know your struggles, understand your sacrifices, and know what we can achieve when we unite and act,” he stated.
Mr. Mintah said his vision is to strengthen the party by empowering its youth wing and ensuring that young party members are positioned to play a central role in the NDC’s preparations for the 2028 elections.
